Ravi Shastri Remains the Head Coach of Team India

Incumbent Ravi Shastri will continue his role as Team India head coach after the three-member Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising Kapil Dev, Anshuman Gaekwad and Shantha Rangaswamy gave his candidature a nod on Friday at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. Shastri has been given a two-year contract which will see him at the helm till the 2021 World T20 in India. This will be Shastri's fourth stint with the national team, having served briefly as the Cricket Manager (2007 tour of Bangladesh), Team Director (2014-2016) and head coach (2017-2019). Shastri pipped former India teammates Robin Singh and Lalchand Rajput along with former New Zealand coach Mike Hesson and Australian Tom Moody to the post. Sushma Swaraj , Former Foreign Minister Passes Away

Senior BJP leader and former foreign minister Sushma Swaraj passed away a while ago at AIIMS on Tuesday. The BJP veteran, who suffered a massive heart attack, died at the age of 67. Her last Twitter post was about thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the government’s move on Kashmir stating that she was waiting for this day in her lifetime. Swaraj, who was for the Bharatiya Janata Party’s most prominent woman face, did not contest the recently held Lok Sabha elections in which the party won with a massive majority. Last November, she had announced she would not contest the general elections.

No Article 370 For Jammu & Kashmir Historic Move From Modi Gov

As tensions mounted in Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday moved a resolution in the Rajya Sabha that all clauses of Article 370 will not be applicable to Jammu and Kashmir. Amit Shah announced in the Rajya Sabha that Article 370, which accords special status to Jammu & Kashmir, will be revoked from the day of the President's assent.
